Print & Business Materials

Not everything a Contractor hands out should look like it came from a home printer.

This section highlights the tangible, take-home pieces we've designed and produced for our clients - capability statements, trifolds, proposal packets, brochures, and other printed materials built to hold up in a bid room, on a jobsite, or at a member meeting.

Every piece carries the same brand standards as the digital work, so a client's printed materials and their website tell one consistent, credible story.

Rebuilding CISCO's Apprenticeship Guide: From Handout to Recruiting Tool

For years, CISCO's Apprenticeship Guide has been the go-to resource pointing Apprentices toward every Union Trade in Northeastern Illinois. However, it looked like an unstyled Word document exported to PDF: a pale mint cover with no CISCO branding, mismatched stock photos, and 90-plus pages of black-and-white text with a dot-leader table of contents and dense directory listings.

Punch List Consulting & Visual Designs rebuilt the guide from the ground up into a fully branded, modern recruiting piece:

  • Bold, on-brand cover - the CISCO hard-hat logo, a diamond-cropped photo collage of real and local Tradespeople, and a tape measure motif replace the old unbranded, clip-art-style layout

  • Consistent visual system throughout - every interior page now uses CISCO's red-and-black brand palette, textured banner headers, and a repeatable trade-profile "card" layout instead of dense, unstyled paragraphs

  • Scannable Trade data - each of the 30+ trades now displays entry requirements, Apprenticeship length, training hours, and estimated first-year wages in color-coded call-out boxes, replacing plain text descriptions

  • Leadership voice added - a personal welcome letter from CISCO's Executive Director now opens the guide, something the original version never had

  • Built for the digital age - QR codes link readers directly to CISCO's website for the latest information, and a "Last Updated" stamp keeps the guide feeling current

  • Sharper navigation - the table of contents now lists each Trade's sub-specialties alongside page numbers, so Apprentices can find exactly what they're looking for faster

Capability Statements & Company Booklets

For Contractors bidding on projects, applying for certifications, or pitching new partners, the right printed materials can make the difference between getting a second look and getting passed over.

This section highlights the capability statements, program guides, and fuller company booklets we've designed - pieces built to walk a client's story, credentials, and scope of work into any room, whether that's a pre-bid meeting, a funder review, or a new business pitch.

Every piece is built to represent the caliber of work the client actually delivers.
